Poem: For Tiffany
For Tiffany

We sat there in the art class
Offering comments was our service
So hard to know quite what to say
When we were both a little nervous
And so I asked you to prom
And I’m so glad that you said yes
With you by my side a magnificent night
You were gorgeuos in your dress
Then again, you’re always gorgeous
That great pic with your lightning bolt earrings
And every picture I see of you
makes me feel a lot like cheering
A big happy cheer from deep down inside
happy that I get to be with you
It’s amazing what we’ve got together
I still feel like it’s brand new
I know some people think that you’re shy
I prefer to think it’s more like this…
Those people that think that, they don’t know you
And I get to see what they miss
The way that your smile lights up the room
The glimmer in your eyes that lights up my days
Your sense of humor and playful laughter
and the love that you share in so many ways
You are the nicest person I’ve met
The way that you care to your core
You have a heart that is so deep and true
I’m glad to know it more
Tiffany, you are my very best friend
I thank you so very much
I love you, the way I feel with you…
It’s my life that you touch
I know I told you that I’d spoil you
I’ve realized that’s not possible
Spoiled means over-ripe, but you and I grow
Days spent apart our only obstacle
So I’ll give you two clues for what’s in this package
Well, maybe three, if you can guess right
The number 32 – that might be a hint,
and so might the color white.
I’m so blessed to have you in my life
And I hope you’ve enjoyed this rhyme.
Please open this up, turn it on,
and let’s get in some FaceTime!
Request:
I am getting my girlfriend an iPod Touch for Christmas and I want to write something clever in her card. Towards the end, I want the poem to ask her to “FaceTime” with me, or that I can’t wait to FaceTime with her, or something along those lines. We are in love, and are open about it to each other, so nothing is going to be awkward if you want to put something romantic into it. I want her to feel happy and loved by me. I would like the poem to rhyme if that’s at all possible
I don’t know if you need this, but FaceTime is an application on Apple iPhones and iPods that faces the user to allow for video calls. It shows the caller to the receiver of the call, and vice versa. And, her iPod is white 32 GB. Just providing as much information as possible. 🙂
Her name is Tiffany. She is a year younger than I am. We met in my last year of highschool in an art class. We would sit next to eachother and talk about eachother’s artwork, just making small talk. One week before prom I asked if she would go with me as my date. And it pretty much took off from there. She is now a senior in highschool and I am in my freshman year of college. As soon as I get my new printer/scanner installed I’ll send you a picture so you can use facial features. As for her personality, she is extremely shy until you get to know her. Our group of friends call her a pansey, which a way of calling scared and shy. She has an amazing sence of humor. She’s the nicest, most caring person I know. She would bend over backwards without question just to help a friend out. My overall bestfriend who I could tell anything to.
When we first started dating, the very first thing I told her was, “The only problem I see the two of us having, is that I am going to spoil the crap out of you.” And I’ve held my word since then. 🙂
My favorite things about her would definetly be her shining eyes, sence of humor, and smile.
